Drinking And Riding Led To Tests

It was a happy day; my friends and I decided to pick up some alcohol on the way and drank at a cozy quiet place. We drank at least half a bottle and enjoyed throughout the evening. It was time to head back home but before we decided to leave, my friend and I got into an argument. You know sometimes alcohol makes you say & do silly things. I no longer wanted to be a part of that argument so I took my bike and rode in full speed. Obviously I was buzzing with the alcohol I had, but there was so much rage that my bike speed kept increasing. My friends followed me and just within a span a few minutes later they found me on the road against the poll. It was a clear case of drinking and riding the bike. I blacked out at that moment; I was bleeding and had absolutely no clue what was happening. These incidents were told by my friends later when I was conscious.

I was rushed to the hospital and my friends called up my parents to quickly come to the hospital. Since I was unconscious, my friends were questioned regarding the accident. The doctors could smell alcohol so they decided to do a drug test by drug testing kits on the alcohol content. I was injured badly! My results obviously had major fractures, tooth damage, and alcohol content in my blood. The doctor who was treating me was a very close family friend. My father had helped him a lot during his family problems. He did not want any police getting involved as I was at fault due to drinking and riding. Somehow he managed to shut that topic and started my treatments as soon as possible. I was bed ridden and had to be dragged in a wheelchair. They had to do a CT scan and various other tests the next morning. I had surely learnt a big lesson after this accident. No matter what happens, I would never ride or drive once I have had alcohol. In fact I was even scared to take a sip of alcohol now. My parents were so worried, the tests and medical bills were just increasing and my stay in the hospital too.

After nearly 3 weeks of constant operations and tests, I was discharged, but frequent visits to the hospital had not. It has been 6 months but I am healing. So, all those who are reading this, I know it can be tempting to drink and not worry about what happens, but life if short, enjoy without any risk of harming yourself.
