The aforementioned work will come naturally after a few weeks or months. Alternatively, if you wish to sell your photographs instead of finding medium-term and long term clients, then it is even easier! (a lot of people start off like this because clients might demand a bit of experience with the lens. This also promises quick money which you might want to invest into your business).

Networking is a huge asset not just in photography, but in freelancing as a whole. Connect to other photographers, go to events and local competitions and know where you stand. You will learn a lot more through such experiences and might even meet mentor figures and potential clientele. Talk whenever possible! Again, travelling is an amazing path for a freelance photographer because along with the environmental variation and the joy of travelling it provides, you also get to meet a lot of people who are native as well as travelers like you. Making a website, Instagram pages will put your out there along with your offline marketing and networking tactics.
